Dental Crowns - Complete Tooth Restoration
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that completely covers a damaged tooth above the gum line, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Unlike fillings which patch a hole, crowns rebuild the entire visible tooth structure.
We use only metal-free, biocompatible ceramics (E-Max and Zirconia) that look, feel, and function exactly like natural teeth.
When You NEED a Crown
- After Root Canal: Tooth becomes brittle without blood supply - crown prevents fracture
- Large Filling Failed: When filling covers 50%+ of tooth, not enough structure remains
- Severe Crack/Fracture: Crown holds cracked tooth together like a helmet
- Heavy Wear: Teeth worn down from grinding need height and protection restored
- Implant Restoration: Crown is the final tooth-like top of dental implant
Crown Materials Compared

- ✓ No Chipping: Monolithic structure
- ✓ Thin Profile: Requires minimal tooth reduction
- ✓ Best For: Molars, heavy grinders, implants
Warranty: 20-25 years
The Crown Process
Visit 1: Preparation & Temporary Crown
Under local anesthesia, we reshape the tooth to create space for the crown (1.5-2mm reduction all around). Digital impressions taken. High-quality temporary crown placed - looks good and protects tooth while permanent crown is made.
Visit 2: Permanent Crown (5-7 Days Later)
Permanent crown tried in and adjusted for perfect fit, color, and bite. Permanently cemented with dental adhesive stronger than natural tooth structure.
