The Procedure
Anesthesia
General anesthesia or IV sedation. Surgery lasts 2-3 hours (longer if combined with facelift).
Incisions
Behind each ear in natural crease + small incision under chin (if fat removal needed). Scars heal flat and inconspicuous.
Fat Sculpting
Liposuction removes submental fat. Strategic sculpting maintains natural contours.
Muscle Tightening
Platysma muscles sutured together in midline. Eliminates vertical bands instantly.
Skin Redraping

Closure & Bandaging

Recovery Timeline

Compression garment can be removed for showering. Swelling peaks day 3-4 then improves. Bruising fades to yellow/green.
Sutures removed. Can return to desk work. Wear turtlenecks/scarves to hide residual bruising. Most swelling resolved.
Resume normal activities including exercise. Neck feels tight (internal healing continues). Result visible but still improving.
